About Social Media Day Adelaide

Social Media Day was launched by Mashable on 30 June 2010. It is a day where we “recognise and celebrate social media’s impact on global communication”.

In Adelaide, we’ve been celebrating Social Media Day since 2015. Our inaugural celebrations involved a variety of presentations at different locations throughout the day. We even held a few over Google Hangouts. The celebrations culminated in drinks at Hains and Co.

Over the years, the event has developed to a full day social media conference. We take the opportunity to share social media knowledge on this day, with the aim of making it accessible to everyone – no matter what stage of your career you’re at.

She also understands how to connect all facets of marketing (online and offline) to meet company goals and objectives.

Rubina is a social media zealot!

Her expertise stems from a genuine passion for engaging with others: people, brands, not-for-profits, the arts. She develops and implements digital marketing initiatives for the SeaLink Travel Group from 9-5.

In her spare time, she lectures on social media at the University of South Australia and TAFE SA.
